Iñigo Santacana
Born in San Sebastián (Basque Country), he studied Acting at the Royal School of Dramatic Art (RESAD, Madrid) and Stage direction at the prestigious Cuarta Pared (Madrid). He also has an extensive musical training in music theory, piano and singing. He has worked as assistant director alongside the greatest names of Spanish stage direction: Paco Azorín, Miguel del Arco, Emiliano Suarez, Salva Bolta, Eduardo Vasco, José Martret…
In 2021 he made his directorial debut for theater (Juicio al extranjero, self written for InDubio theater company) and in 2022 he staged his first opera (María de Buenos Aires, by Piazzolla). Since then, he has directed plays such as Una crónica de violencia (2024) and operas such as The Metamorphosis (2023) or the co-production between Ópera de Oviedo and Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria El secreto del otro (2025).
